Re: 2008 Polar Bear Plunge
Dear Member:
The Hudson County Bar Association Young Lawyer Division will be
coordinating a team of Plungers to represent our Association at the 2008
Polar Bear Plunge.
The Polar Bear Plunge is the largest single day fundraising effort that
benefits Special Olympics New Jersey. Participants are asked to raise
money to take a mid-winter plunge into the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
All proceeds collected by Plungers benefit Special Olympics athletes and
help foster the Special Olympics New Jersey mission.
This fundraiser has rapidly grown to over 2,500 Plungers that
participate in New Jersey who have helped make the Special Olympics the
huge success it is today. It has supported more than 16,000 athletes
train and compete free-of-charge, year-round in 22 Olympic-type sports.
All team members are required to register early by February 15, 2008.
Each Team Member must raise a minimum of $100. At the time of
registration, a $25 deposit will be required.
All Plungers who submit the $25 deposit or $100 minimum donation by the
February 15th early registration deadline will receive an embroidered
2008 Polar Bear Plunge fleece.
Plungers who submit the $25 deposit or $100 minimum donation after the
February 15th early registration deadline will receive a Polar Bear
Plunge fleece, while supplies last.
We ask you all to contribute to this fundraiser and show a strong
participation as a team with the Hudson County Bar Association. I cannot
imagine a more worthy cause.
Please contact the Lisa Burke, HCBA Executive Director immediately with
your participation as we are held to a firm timeline for registration.
Very truly yours,
Priya Ramrup
YLD President
Encls.
